After SRK’s big win at the box-office with Pathaan, fans are eagerly awaiting the much-hyped release of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The trailer has garnered mixed reviews but going by the track record of Salman bhai’s fandom, you can never predict what can work.
The movie will also mark the debut of Shehnaaz Gill and Shweta Tiwari’s daughter, Palak. In a recent interview, Palak spoke about her experience working with Salman and her insights are rather very interesting.
She revealed that Salman is very strict about women’s clothing on his movie sets and is very vocal about anyone wearing deep necklines. She said she experienced this while she was assisting on the sets of his last movie, Antim. “When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, I don’t think many people know this, Salman Sir had a rule ‘Ki koi bhi ladki mere set pe, neckline should be here (for every girl on my set, the neckline should be here), all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’. So my mom saw me (going to set) in proper shirt, jogger and covered and all. She was like, ‘Where are you going? How are you dressed so well?’ I said I am going to Salman Sir’s set. She was like ‘Wow, very good’.”
Palak Tiwari will be making her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan starrer ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ but even before that, she’s quite popular. Palak became instantly popular after she appeared in Hardy Sandhu’s song ‘Bijli Bijli’ and has a huge following on social media. Interestingly, the newbie has also worked with Salman Khan as an assistant director on ‘Antim’. She revealed in an interview recently that while she was working on ‘Antim’, Salman actually had some rules for the girls on the set.
Palak added that Salman has a rule on his set that no girl on his set should be wearing clothes with low necklines. They should be covered like good proper girls and he had a reason for it. Palak added that he’s a traditionalist and said the girls can wear whatever they want but Salman feels that his girls should always be protected and safe. It’s not his personal space where he trusts everyone, hence, he’s concerned about the safety of the girls around him.
She further laughed that when she would dress up all properly and go to work, her mother Shweta Tiwari used to be surprised and ask her where is she going with a proper shirt, jogger and all. When Palak told her mom she’s going to Salman sir’s set, she said, “Wow, very good.”
The film is set to release on Eid, on April 21. It stars Pooja Hegde opposite Salman. The film also stars south star Venkatesh, Shehnaz Gill among others.
